Get ready cause it’s that time of year again. Memorial Day Weekend and the notorious Urban Beach Week.
Nothing gets Miami more ready for the summer than Memorial Day weekend where ten’s and thousands of visitors from all over the world travel to Miami to drink, dance and celebrate all the glits and glamour that only the heat of Miami can offer. The Urban Beach Week is one of the biggest Urban Festivals worldwide. The events and parties cater toward the Hip Hop Generation from 21 and over. An estimated 300,000-350,000 participants travel to South Beach for a weekend of fun, food, festivities, entertainment, music and more.

This year, Miami is a little bit more prepared to prevent a repeat or the disastrous crime that happened in the streets of Miami Beach in 2011, where several people were injured during gun fire, where a police officer fatally shot a man in a car who was driving through Collins Avenue under the influence.
The city is now a little bit more prepared and have strategically erectted barricades, established checkpoints, and have orchestrated traffic loops in preparation for a South Beach onslaught of hip-hop heads and booty-licious, bikini babes.
There’s no official site for Urban Beach Week. Clubs all around Miami Beach throw over-the-top parties that range from ultra-exclusive to accessible to everyone and anyone.
But if youre lucky to get into the exclusive VIP parties you may just pop a bottle with hip hop stars like; Kendrick Lamar, Maxwell, Diddy, Kevin Hart, Nicki Minaj, Nas and of course Snoop Dogg. And that’s just a few of the artists on tap to throw huge parties … in the Miami Heat!
